The San Antonio Chapter of The American Institute of Architects in partnership with their Women in Architecture Network is honored to present Carolyn Armenta Davis, Hon. AIA, an international architectural historian, lecturer and writer whose landmark research lifts the profile of contemporary Black architects and serves as a catalyst for inclusion. 

A salute to Dr. King’s 1963 dream and the ‘Art of Architecture’ across the trans-Atlantic African Diaspora in the 53 years since.  This lecture explores innovative and award winning designs of 20 African-American, Afro-Latinos, Afri-European and African architects, men and women, through the lens of global realities and the diverse cultures, economics and politics of this Diaspora’s 1.3 Billion Blacks.
