This professional development workshop is designed for educators and community leaders who are interested in learning strategies that spark inquiry, civil discourse, and social action on current, potentially polarizing topics such as immigration, capital punishment, and energy policy. The interactive workshop will focus on ways to create authentic interdisciplinary learning experiences with an emphasis on differentiated performance assessments and public exhibitions of student work. Much of the workshop will be facilitated by students.
