This project serves as an educational tool by using the Freedom Riders’ powerful stories to bring awareness of the continued pursuit of freedom, justice, and equality for minorities in the nation. This awareness starts in local communities, then spreads to cities, states, the nation, and eventually around the world, bringing social justice issues like education, voting rights, workers’ rights, and healthcare back to the forefront and re-establishing them as basic constitutional rights.
