MLK 5K presented by Young Men's Leadership Academy

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” The Young Men’s Leadership Academy 5K Run is a fundraising event presented by the school to help raise funds for the academy, as well as a demonstration of their support for Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of resilience and equality. Young Men’s Leadership Academy is the first all-boys public school in San Antonio. Our mission is to develop young men into highly effective scholars, thinkers, and leaders by providing a high-quality comprehensive educational and social experience leading to a distinguished high school graduation plan.100% of proceeds from our event fund student programming. Come out and walk, run, or skip through the beautiful MLK park to help support a great cause and aid in the school’s success. If you are unable, or do not wish to run, please donate!

Race Fee(s): – no refunds
$10 with no race T-shirt ( price increase to $15 on 12/1/19)
Race T-shirt an additional 10 dollars

Overall male and female
Age group awards will be based on chip time; awards for overall winners will be based on gun time.
