For the 30th year, South Texas Blood & Tissue Center and GenCure are joining Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Psi Alpha Chapter, to sponsor a blood at San Antonio’s Martin Luther King Jr. march. The drive honors Dr. Charles R. Drew, the father of blood banking in the United States and a member of Omega Psi Phi, which was founded at Howard University in 1911.

All donors who give blood at the drive will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt, a coupon for a free pint of Creamy Creations ice cream from H-E-B, and their choice of an eGift card from the South Texas Blood & Tissue donor portal.
