Event Details

The future is now. We are engaging the audience in the conversation on how to re-vision the criminal justice system in a way that addresses the healing of intergenerational trauma of under-represented communities. This transformational screening will bring in high school students, educators and community workers for critical conversation on racial biases and the ways we can implement meaningful changes in schools and beyond.
The film walks back through the history of violence that has led to our current system, bringing into focus the histories of trauma – on a personal, interpersonal, community, and generational level. This powerful documentary addresses the school-to-prison pipeline, the need for comprehensive criminal justice reform, and the importance of healing and restorative practices.
