Our idea of beauty is forever shifting, these images are proof that a woman can remain confident and beautiful after Breast Cancer. The Claire Project is a Black and White photo essay of Breast Cancer Survivors, which was inspired by a client of the same name. Claire was diagnosed at the age of 28, I photographed her after her double mastectomy when she was 8 months pregnant. Claire inspired me to reach out to other survivors and tell their stories. Hopefully these images will inspire women to reach out to each other, to be mindful of their health, and to care for our sisters who fall ill. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness of Breast Cancer, and the importance of encouraging women to have regular mammograms.
The Claire Project Gallery Show will start with a reception January 9th from 6-10 PM this will include a silent auction
The Exhibit will be on display January 10th-24th. The images will available for purchase in different sizes. Portion of any proceeds will be donated to a Breast Cancer Survivor Group.
