Event Schedule
- 9:00 AM: Praise and Worship in the Park
Begin the day with an uplifting Early Morning Praise and Worship Program featuring contemporary and traditional music, motivational dances, and spoken word performances.
- 12:00 PM: Commemorative Program
Celebrate Dr. King’s dream and vision for justice, equality, and unity. This program will feature dynamic keynote speakers, live musical performances, and the announcement of the winners of the prestigious Public Service Awards to local leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the community.
- 12:30 PM: Awards Presentation
- Each of the awardees selected are presented to the community at large on stage following the MLK March at Pittman Sullivan Park , in addition to an appearance and recognition at the MLK Community Awards Celebration to be held in the spring of 2025.
- 1:30 PM: Afternoon Celebration
Enjoy an afternoon filled with live music, including soulful R&B, smooth jazz, and old-school classics.
This free event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. Join us as we honor Dr. King’s enduring legacy and commitment to building a better, more just world.
