But San Antonio has political and economic ties to the region as well as religious ones. Mayor Nirenberg visited the region earlier this year, and San Antonio is a “Friendship City” with Tel Aviv. What are some of the connections and relations between San Antonio and Israel-Palestine? How are we navigating these relationships, given the troubled politics of the region? How can we proceed responsibly, promoting human rights as well as international relations based on compassion, understanding, and justice?
