Event Details

Travis Park Church’s Methodist Women group are sponsoring a panel discussion moderated by Kathleen Fugate Laborde, Ph.D. on the current issues in the migrant and asylum crisis. Panelist will include Sister Denise LaRock, Interfaith Welcome Coalition, Cynthia Johnson, Methodist deaconess and migrant activist from Brownsville, and Gavin Rodgers, Associate Pastor Travis Park Church and coordinator of the church’s migrant shelter and response. The moderator will provide questions for the panelist and then there will be a time for the panelist to answer written questions from the audience.

Registration and check in will begin at 8:45 am with the panel starting at 9 am. After the panel there will be a small reception where further informal conversations can continue.
