Participants are invited to engage in a prayer service, designed by P.E.A.C.E. Initiative member Catherine Cuasay, that examines how the omnipresence of violence in the family, home, neighborhood, school, and community clouds minds, visions, and work for peace. It will also be a time to recall on how bright the world can be if we rid ourselves of the violence. The vigil will commence in the evening with community members engaging in prayer and will start the movement to march for peace in the spirit of MLK. The vigil closure will remind participants to demonstrate a new commitment to continue to work on this in their neighborhood, city, county, state, country, and the world.
