Dreamweek SA 2020- Move Texas - Civil Conversations

43% of Texans are under the age of 30, and 63% of them people of color. Our state is getting younger, more diverse, and more progressive every day. In 2018, those young folks showed up to flex their electoral power. Youth turnout tripled in Texas between 2014 and 2018, a surge that is changing the conversation about politics in Texas. Join this new millennial voting bloc for an evening of cocktails and conversation.

Young people are not just the future of Texas, we are the present – and it’s time our politics reflected that notion. MOVE Texas empowers young people to have a voice in our politics and this event breaks down the barriers to those young voters to interact with policymakers and 2020 candidates. If we want a better future for this community, it begins with lifting up our young people and having a good time while doing it.

DreamWeek SA 2020- Pub Theology- Speaker

At this Pub Theology, Pastor Gavin Rogers (Travis Park Church) and Cary Clack (Author and Columnist) will facilitate a conversation with leaders from our San Antonio community and around the nation to talk about race, white supremacy, and Christian nationalism. How do we talk about race in a way that creates positive change and builds relationships with people from all walks of life? Pub Theology meets each week we invite different community or faith leaders to share about various faiths, creating the common good, and our shared life together. Basically, we talk about what people should not talk about at bars and create a conversation. All perspectives are welcome. “Different Brews & Different Views.”
