Classics IV: American Voices – A Symphonic Journey. Jon Kimura Parker- Jeffrey Kahane

Join us for an exhilarating evening with the San Antonio Philharmonic, conducted by Jeffrey Kahane. This concert promises to be a memorable celebration of American composers, featuring two exciting premieres in San Antonio: “Pulse” by Brian Raphael Nabors and “Umoja” by Valerie Coleman.

In addition to these fresh works, the concert will highlight the brilliance of Florence Price performing her deeply moving piece “Adoration”, skillfully arranged for clarinet and strings performed by the exceptional clarinetist Ilya Shterenberg, along with her “Piano Concerto in One Movement,” featuring the acclaimed Canadian pianist Jon Kimura Parker. His talent will shine as he takes the stage to close the program with Gershwin’s iconic “Concerto in F.”
