Blessing of the Peacemakers
The Blessing of the Peacemakers is a sacred gathering that honors the quiet strength, wisdom, and compassion of individuals and organizations who work tirelessly to connect, heal, and uplift our community.
Held during the International Season for Nonviolence (January 30 – April 4)—spanning the anniversary dates of the assassinations of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, this commemoration carries forward their shared revelation: that lasting, positive change is born through our collective, nonviolent action.
This ceremony is a revelation of the hidden gems among us. As we name the Peace Laureates, we illuminate the transformative work being done and call forth a collective awakening to the extraordinary spirit of our city.
May we join together to bless the peacemakers, honor the roots of resilience, and renew our shared commitment to building a more compassionate and connected world.
It will be held at Northwest Vista College, Palmetto Center for the Performing Arts.
