Our Dream Week event is a four-course journey celebrating art, culture, and liberation, with a strong emphasis on youth involvement. Participants are as young as 10 and range into their late 20s, alongside older voices who bring wisdom and perspective.
The evening begins with an art gallery walk, where emerging artists display powerful works while ballet dancers move among the art. A live muralist paints throughout the evening, allowing the audience to witness a story unfolding in real time.
Guests then gather for a culinary experience led by young chefs who showcase recipes inspired by culture and family roots, bringing tradition to the table in fresh, creative ways.
The third course highlights spoken word and cultural performances such as African drumming, Indigenous and Filipino dance, Mexican storytelling, and Palestinian poetry that amplify identity, resistance, and resilience.
The night culminates in reflection, as the completed mural stands as a symbol of Black empowerment, cultural unity, and collective renewal.
