Event Details

In Texas, students can work elections beginning at the age of 16 — even before they are eligible to register to vote! Bexar County high school and college students are invited to join Youth Do Vote and the Bexar County Elections Department for an interactive presentation and workshop about working elections. Learn about this important civic opportunity to serve local voters. Representatives from Youth Do Vote will help students through the application process. Local high school and college students who have worked previous elections will share their experiences. Interactive stations will help students become familiar with election equipment and procedures as well as the Elections Department. Come learn why poll workers are critical to our democratic process! Lunch will be provided for attendees.
