Event Details

Restore Education’s Eastside Center for Excellence will host a symposium designed for Dreamers, doers, and community partners to advance educational equity, promote civic empowerment through education, and expand economic opportunity for underserved populations across San Antonio. We will reimagine access to higher education and celebrate the power of dreams in action.
• The event will feature two main learning tracks tailored to students of all ages and stages in their educational journeys.
• Track 1 – “College Knowledge” for prospective and first-year college students, including interactive workshops on FAFSA/TASFA completion, scholarship navigation, and college success strategies. Professional development sessions will be offered for current college students, covering networking, leadership, and career readiness.
• Track 2 -Highlight Restore Education’s free, high-impact college access and support programs, which remove barriers and help students “turn dreams into degrees.”
• Includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch, with a panel discussion, Q&A and networking session featuring Restore Education College Program Alumni.
• Community partners will host information tables to share resources for college-bound students.
• Free onsite childcare will be available for infants through elementary-aged children, with additional details to be announced closer to the event date.
• Reduce Barriers to Economic Mobility – Address systemic inequities by providing equitable access to education, career pathways, and support services for underserved populations.
Confirmed community partners include the Empowerment Center at SAC, Pride Center San Antonio (including THRIVE/AA), and the Elder Community Center – East Side. More partners are being finalized.
