Our upcoming documentary, Growing Change: Gardopia Gardens, will premiere at Dream Week 2026 as part of the citywide celebration of ideas and community. This film weaves together the perspectives of founders, community partners, and neighbors who are working to reimagine food, land, and sustainability in San Antonio.
Through the lens of urban gardening, we highlight the transformative power of growing food in shared spaces. From starting with a dream to teach students and the community about urban farming to being in over 60 schools, these voices reveal how cultivating green spaces also cultivates resilience, belonging, and opportunity.
The documentary explores not just the “how” of gardening, but the “why”—stories of access, equity, and the simple human joy of planting seeds and watching them grow. With triple bottom line strategies in mind, the film celebrates the intersection of social, environmental, and economic impact that urban gardening brings to our city.
Growing Change: Gardopia Gardens invites audiences to listen, reflect, and join the growing movement toward healthier, more sustainable urban communities.
Join us at Gardopia Gardens for a wonderful outdoor event that connects food, community, and sustainability.
Following the screening, there will be a moderated Q&A with Gardopia’s leadership team—Stephen Lucke (CEO), Dominic Dominguez (COO), and Sherry Lim (CLO)—allowing the audience to engage directly, ask questions, and learn more about urban gardening, sustainability, and community-driven solutions.
