Join women and allies from across San Antonio for a happy hour celebrating the grand reopening of For Her’s community center and stay to hear storytellers share their stories of creating spaces for women to thrive. Hosted by For Her, this event seeks to center the stories of diverse local women who are breaking down barriers, interrupting cycles of trauma, and empowering others to advance towards self-sufficiency and holistic well-being. Drinks and small bites will be served.

Exploitation, trauma, and abuse can lead to discrimination, alienation, stigmatization, and victim-blaming which all have a silencing effect. This event will feature a diverse pool of women storytellers who have reclaimed their voices and identities. While panels that feature experts are informative and necessary, panels often lack diversity and representation of survivors with lived experience. This event seeks to challenge stereotypes and honor the unique experiences of women by centering their stories. We believe putting a face to an issue and a story to a statistic is ultimately what changes minds and drives social change.
