The Magik Reader’s Theatre works with local authors, civic leaders, and city officials to build a free event in which children meet popular writers and hear them

Discuss the joy of reading and writing. Each event highlights a specific theme. Past lectors include Donte Banks, Pastor of GodChasers Church, Malia Martinez, 2017-2018 Fiesta Queen of Soul, Xelena Gonzalez and Adriana Garcia, author and illustrator of “All Around Us”, Diana Lopez, author of”Coco,” “Confetti Girl,” and “Lucky Luna,” Manny Pelaez, Councilman of District 8, and Daniel Handler, better known as Lemony Snicket, author of A Series of Unfortunate Events.
