Did you know San Antonio once had more than 80 Negro Motorist Green Book sites? Join us for a 2.5-hour journey through the city’s historic East Side neighborhoods as we explore stories of African American entrepreneurship, resilience, community, and travel. The tour begins at the Brackenridge Parking Garage (3501 Avenue B) with free parking available. The bus will depart at 11:00am sharp! Please plan to arrive 30–45 minutes before departure.
Together, we will visit history-rich stops including the downtown theater district, Dignowity Hills, Denver Heights, St. Paul Square, and SAAACAM’s exhibit space. Along the way, you’ll discover the legacies of Black brilliance that shaped San Antonio and inspired generations.
