Event Details

In partnership with DreamWeek, the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum (SAAACAM) is hosting an Open House at the historic Sutton Family Homestead at 430 N. Cherry St. on Saturday, January 25th between 10am to 2pm. The theme for this Open House will be civil rights.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend to learn more about SAAACAM, the prominent Sutton family, and find out how you can contribute to the preservation of San Antonio’s African American history.

This event is free, though, donations are encouraged to support the museum and digital archive. SAAACAM’s mission is to collect and preserve the shared history of African Americans in the San Antonio region.
