Jack and Jill is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 to 19, dedicated to nurturing future Leaders by supporting children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. The San Antonio Chapter of Jack and Jill of America has been serving our children for more than seven decades. The San Antonio Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. traces its origins back to 1951.Since its inception, the San Antonio Chapter has remained committed to the mission of Jack and Jill—fostering leadership, volunteerism, and excellence among African American children. Over the decades, the chapter has made significant contributions to local and national causes, supported community initiatives, and nurtured generations of leaders.
The philanthropic arm of Jack and Jill is the Jack and Jill Foundation. The Foundation is a 501c3 organization in which each chapter has a financial obligation to support. Each year, chapters develop fundraising activities to support Foundation. This year, the San Antono Chapter plans to host a “Our Kind of People: A Night of Trivia and Culture.” This will be a ticketed event held at Qulture Vibe Dining, a black-owned
The event will be centered around cultural knowledge and cultural fun and entertainment. Proceeds from the event will support Jack and Jill Foundation; a local 501c3 Non-profit organization (s), and the San Antonio Chapter of Jack and Jill as indicated by Jack and Jill Foundation’s rules of fundraising.
