Every day, seven people die in home fires, most in homes that lack working smoke alarms. Sadly, children and the elderly disproportionately lose their lives in home fires. The American Red Cross wants to improve the odds and save lives. That’s why they launched their Home Fire Campaign in 2014. Since that time, the Red Cross, in partnership with fire departments and other local groups, have visited homes to install free smoke alarms, replace batteries in existing alarms, and provide fire prevention and safety education to prevent needless tragedies. Join them today in helping to save lives.
