Our event will target 50 young women of color in middle and high school. Our workshop will allow participants to learn about resources and strategies to help them use their voices to advocate for real, visible change on their campuses as well as in their communities. We will also have a BECOMING panel of various young women of color in the community. These young women are all currently advocating and fighting for change now by taking an active role in their local, state, and national communities. Our participants will also walk away with a list of various local, state, and national organizations and services that are specifically designed to motivate and inspire young women of color to pursue their passions and fulfill their purpose.
