A joyous multi-faith ceremony celebrating the peacemakers among us and entering the new year with renewed dedication to peace, justice and compassion. During this ceremony, the 2022 San Antonio Peace Laureate will be introduced, a local voice of wisdom and experience who will model for us ways to speak for peace and justice in our world. This ceremony launches the 64 day l “Season for Nonviolence,” an international annual rededication to nonviolence, spanning the anniversary of Gandhi’s assassination on January 30, 1948 and Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination
