The DoSeum will host the third Dream Leaders ceremony as a part of DreamWeek. The Dream Leaders ceremony will recognize the achievements of local youth, ages 11 and under, that epitomize the DreamWeek themes.

To nominate a child for recognition as a Dream Leader, please submit a half- to one-page written passage describing their achievement(s). Please be specific about the area(s) in which they have achieved and how they embody and live the DreamWeek themes. Include the name, age, and school (or indicate if home schooled) of the nominee, as well as the best way to contact the nominee and their family to invite them to the Dream Leader ceremony.

The goal of the Dream Leader ceremony is to advance the ideal set forth by Dr. King: that we shall live in a nation where children are “judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Email nominations to Please submit nominations by December 8. The Dream Leader committee, composed of staff and board members of The DoSeum, will review the nominations and select 12 Dream Leaders based on their achievements, impact on their community, and advancement of the DreamWeek ideals.
