As a survivor who has been directly impacted by of a drunk driver February 28, 2016, Azeza Salama finds solace in combing gratitude for community and purpose Throughout the course of our lives there are moments that stick with us and feel like they could have happened just seconds ago, the importance of repurposing trauma through adversity. One would say, she has seen traumatic loss firsthand. She shares her narrative on the challenges that we have as community face as a result of impaired driving. In her pristine role as the Director of the Free Rides Program, she leads efforts to prevent drunk driving with in the San Antonio community and nightlife.

Tragedies of children losing parents or parents losing children these are 100% preventable. Let’s know better, do better, and spread the word. It’s important for us a community to take care of each other. San Antonio is our home let’s trust our neighbors and drive sober.”  -Azeza Salama
