Imgard Khosravi is a communication strategist and a passionate storyteller who was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Communication is a vital tool for Imgard to connect people and build communities. She has worked on various communication and documentary projects over the years, focusing on various community issues such as human rights, environmental justice, and climate change. Imgard holds a degree in Journalism and Media studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a master’s degree in Media Peace and Conflict Studies from the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica.
Her work has taken her to different countries and backgrounds where she documented the struggles of indigenous communities to access safe drinking water. She has also used photography and journalism to raise awareness of the challenges faced by child refugees. Imgard has devoted her efforts to working with unaccompanied refugees from Congo, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Eritrea. Through her experiences, she has been able to transcend different backgrounds and cultures and tell meaningful stories within various communities.
Imgard is working on a new podcast that highlights Kenyan food and culture. Currently, she works as the Director of Public Relations for Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez in San Antonio, a position that she treasures wholeheartedly.
She lives in San Antonio with her husband John and three beautiful children, Hawi, Amirah, and Jonathan.
