Event Details

The DreamHour Speaker Series is made up of leaders within the local community, sharing their experiences and their hopes for creating a better tomorrow.

Mark Wittig – President at Wittigs Office Interiors

Fifth of nine children, Father of five, Grandfather to ten and married for 48 years to Bebe, Mark Wittig is truly a man of family, community, and collaboration. Mark has many strengths which have allowed him to excel in leadership his entire life; he is strategic, an activator, a maximizer, and a connector, advocating and empowering others around him for decades.

Fifty years ago, Mark began his civil service at the San Antonio (Downtown) Optimist Club. He then worked in leadership positions at the Lion’s Club, Rotary, Humana/Metropolitan Board, and Hayworth Dealer Council. Mark currently serves as the President of the Housing First Community Coalition and Towne Twin Village, a permanent housing community for the homeless opening in February 2023 and President (and co-founder) of the Executive Book Review, a collaborative that has reviewed 205 books and hosted 325 events since its’ inception in 2013. He is also an active board member for the Center for Health Care Services Foundation, Friends of Christus Santa Rosa Foundation, and the Oblate School of Theology Board.

He has been recognized for his service with the following awards: Benicians Humanitarian of the Year Award, Archdiocese Education of the Year Award, AIA Honorary Award, First recipient of the Jo Long Award, San Antonio Masonry Contractors Golden Trowel Award, and the North Chamber Community Service Award.

Mark is and will forever be a dreamer. He dreamed of and executed the MLK March Mural on MLK Street at the starting point of the march; he also dreamed and executed a life size interactive Last Supper Sculpture at the Oblate School of Theology. He actively dreams of a more compassionate SA, specifically in the areas of mental health, homelessness, and literacy (Robyn’s N.E.S.T).
