All of us have something inside, a spark, a sense of responsibility to do good, to stand UP for what we believe in. It has been my experience over the past 30 years, that the effect you have on others is the most VALUABLE currency there is. You see, life, is a mirror. Life rarely give us what we want. But rather, life gives us what we are. Winston Churchill said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” The United States Declaration of Independence states that we have certain unalienable rights. Among these are "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Sometimes, these “rights” are not always present. But they must always be fought for and defended. Every San Antonian in good physical, mental and financial health that has the luxury of attending a DreamWeek event is blessed and highly favored. But that comes with responsibility. A responsibility to repair the world and improve the lives of those less fortunate. Big opportunities to help, like saving a life, seldom present themselves. But small opportunities, like donating food, clothing and time, like voting, those opportunities surround us every day. If you WANT to live an extraordinary life, you MUST destroy the law of familiarity! One of the ways I live an extraordinary life is by making a difference … by making an impact. I want to push my fellow citizens to Do More. To get out of their comfort zones. To make a BIGGER difference. To make an even BIGGER impact. To MAKE THEIR MARK!
