Our Story: A Panel Discussion on the needs and challenges of Opportunity Youth

According to the Aspen Institute Forum there are currently 4.6 million opportunity youth – defined as young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are neither enrolled in school nor participating in the labor market. In 2021 R3 Student Outreach in partnership with COSA DHS set out to resource opportunity youth with professional development training opportunities and engagement. Through weeks of training and internship, we had a front row seat to the trauma, difficulties and circumstance opportunity youth must overcome to be successful.
