Get ready for an unforgettable, thought-provoking, and soul-stirring experience as the vibrant city of San Antonio welcomes “Resilient Voices: Her Black Mental Wellness.” This multi-phase celebration of art and health, conceptualized and spearheaded by Alethia Jones and Wardell Picquet, promises to be a powerful testament to the importance of mental health wellness in African American women. It’s a journey that weaves together art, advocacy, and community, with the grand finale taking center stage at the historic Carver Community Cultural Center.

The evening unfolds with a spectacle that promises to touch your heart and inspire your soul. Hosted by Clarke Finney Romo, our lineup of exceptional performers includes:

Original songs by the former Poet Laureate of San Antonio, Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson.

Mesmerizing dance recitals by The San Antonio Ballet School of Danielle Campbell Steans.

Powerful poetry by Nakita McClure.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Throughout the event, you’ll have the chance to explore the remarkable art exhibit on display, “Be Well, Black Woman.”

Join us and let your voice be a part of the chorus of “Resilient Voices.”
