Title: Story and the Classroom in the Era of COVID-19

The pandemic has re-shaped life as we know it, with all of us learning new ways to adapt. The events of 2020 will seed the life stories of our individual and community futures. In this workshop, we’ll explore the practice of storytelling as a way for students to process and share their experiences during the pandemic, while developing the TEKS strands to enhance their Speaking and Listening skills.

This workshop explores storytelling as a classroom pedagogy to invigorate student learning while building community in the COVID-19 Era. Presented by Carrie Ross Villarreal, M.A., and Mary Lynne Gasaway Hill, Ph.D., FRSA.
