Event Details

We are excited to announce that we will be premiering two documentary series, with a particular focus on Paired Donation, aimed at African American and Spanish-speaking communities. These series are designed to raise awareness about kidney transplantation and the early detection of kidney disease. They will provide insights into the distinct challenges faced by individuals in these communities and their perspectives on the healthcare system. Our Countywide Challenge will also be prominently featured.

Paired Donation, also known as kidney exchange, is a program where individuals in need of a kidney transplant can find a suitable donor match by exchanging donors with another compatible pair. This innovative approach allows for more kidney transplants to take place, saving lives and improving the quality of life for those affected by kidney disease. Paired Donation is a process that significantly reduces waitlist times for kidney transplantation.

Heavy finger foods will be provided.
