The Case for Asian American Civic Engagement

Asian American Democrats of South Texas, a San Antonio-based chapter of the Asian American Democrats of Texas, will re-air a segment of a panel with Dr. Belinda Roman and her presentation on Asians in Bexar County: Profile and Pathways to Political Power, followed by a community discussion on the importance of Asian American civic engagement. The discussion will include various topics, such as how Asians have had to navigate around laws historically to earn a living, comparison on what it is like today, whether Voting Rights Act is being enforced for Asian populations and how to hold the Democratic party can be held accountable for including Asian Americans.
