Attendees will view the 2013 documentary film, “The Loving Story” (1 hr 14 min., NR) about a multiracial couple who were arrested, tried and convicted of the felony crime of “miscegenation” in Virginia in 1958. Two young ACLU lawyers took on the Lovings’ case. Following the film, facilitators will open a discussion, welcoming personal stories and thoughts on the film, historical perspectives on racism and multiracial marriage, and modern-day threats to the precedent setting Supreme Court decision.
