Want Democracy?   Civic Engagement for Racial Justice

The University of the Incarnate Word Mission and Ministry invites you to a series of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Circles in partnership with NETWORK, Advocates for Social Justice founded by Catholic Sisters in 1972.  https://networklobby.org/

The Racial Wealth and Income Gap: An interactive workshop that has participants explore the systemic impacts of 12 federal policies on the wealth accumulation of four families throughout U.S. history. The same workshop will be offered twice.

Intro to Faith-Based Advocacy: Using NETWORK’s “Educate, Organize, Lobby,” model, advocates and activists will learn about a variety of strategies and tactics to build or participate in a transformative social justice campaign.

Workshop Presenters include:

Catherine Gillette – NETWORK’s Grassroots Mobilization Coordinator

Colin Longmore – NETWORK’s Grassroots Outreach & Education Specialist

NETWORK works to create a society that promotes justice and the dignity of all in the shared abundance of God’s creation. Inspired Catholic Sisters who were the founders, NETWORK seeks to embody Gospel justice as we ignite hope in the world.   We are focusing on the power young people have now to create the future and to transform the USA.
