Youth Rally

In the spirit of promoting student’s voices, we are hosting a Youth Rally January 19th-20th. The objective of the rally is to hear and elevate the ideas of our students. We will kick off January 19th with virtual guest speaker experiences (national speaker) and a civics fair where students pose solutions to community challenges. This will be the third year of the local civics fair, Speak Up! Speak Out!, which is in coordination with the state civics fair of the same name, and includes other schools in addition to the schools from the 5-school CAST Schools network.

On January 20th, at the DoSeum, students from across the network will participate in a series of civic and creative workshops, interactive STEM activities, hear from speakers, and participate in the unveiling of an art exhibition demonstrating why we love San Antonio, with contributions from students from across our 5-school network, and coordinated by local artist Mark Menjivar. Subsequent to the unveiling, the exhibit will remain at the DoSeum for community contributions.
